Anyone on here done this? I have instability on cornering, a ‘look’ underneath today located a ‘knock’ when using a pry bar on bottom shock bush that sounds like (feels like) it’s coming from internal top of shock. The unit comes in 2 parts and prices are about £150 for the shock or £330 for the full unit.
Considering changing the shock element and was after some ‘experienced’ advice from anyone who has changed the internal shock absorber, if any available please 👌

Changing just the damper is easy enough - but, consider the age of the airbag, you may well find that reinflation causes some of those stretch marks to become leaks in the near future. You don't say what age L320 but they were last sold in 2013 so it'll be a minimum of eleven years old.
You could well take it apart and find the damping oil has leaked out and started softening the airbag - game over really, you'd also need to purchase a new set of seals and a Voss connector, have a good air supply for seating the airbag prior to refitting.

09 so probably wise to do the lot in one, as I feared 😂👌. Thank you.
