Hi guys,

I've seen here that a few have done this. Does it really make the system self bleed more easily? What is the best way to do it :)?

Will.

New one on me, never heard of jiggle valve, but then I'd never heard of my
G Sensor till it broke - enlighten please?

little floating ball in the cyl. head, seals the water way that erupts to the coolant bottle through the inlet manifold, (non return valve),

Bloody hell, something else to worry about.:)

Yes if they get stuck you are in a world of hurt! They are there to clear airlocks from the head by routing the air straight to the expansion tank but they seem a bit **** at doing it.

I'm going to keep burping the system as I've got every molecule of air out of it before. If I still have trouble I'll knock the little bastard out.

Thanks for explanation. How do you remove it?

It might be worth extending it higher, if that can be done?

I think removing it, without allowing some other form of bleed system, might cause more problems than it fixes.

Have you thought about one of this "automatic" radiator bleed valves - allows air out, but not water?

This is the Jiggle valve but i'm of the opinion that it's there for a reason so simply needs to be kept clean!! Having said that the KV6 doesn't have one!!??!!

No it's as it left the factory ;) the ball can be removed to clean the hole if required by bending the 3 ears or tabs out the way. I've cleaned them this way but i'v always put them back.

Decided that on balance, having never heard of my jiggle valve until yesterday, to leave well alone. So, gave the old fleeby a good wash and then drove it up the dual carriageway (and back). Running well b4 but better now clean!
