P38A Knocking noise what to change??

So now car is running on lpg and had new tyres can move onto something else as is always the case haha.
so now have a knocking when on and off accelerator I reckon it’s radius arm bushes. Should I just buy a kit and change them all but do I polybush or stick to standard rubber. Poly is harder should last longer but will it be too harsh and wear more stuff out.
 
Clonking going on and of throttle could be propshaft uj`s, jack one side up and give them a good rattle around there should not be any pla the joints
if its the radius arms if you have access to a press use original they seam to last longer, or take the arms down to a local friendly garage and get them to press the new ones in
 
I was under the impression that original press fit bushes would last longer but poly is easier to fit.
I went poly with the view it has to be better than old worn out rubber

My local refused.. press not man enough
 
Bushes always a problem to press out I normally use a threaded bar and pull them out way. I reckon it’s the ones on the straight edge that’s my issue as can feel under drivers seat. I’ve had a look at props when I first got car and seemed solid and actually greased to my surprise. I’ll give it a grease again anyway when I go under. I just know from experience I’m going to be chasing the noise so think I’ll just got for a full car bush set haha.

You'd better get the fitting tool for the front hockey stick bushes then.they are not steel sleeved but plastic and slightly larger in diameter than the hole they fit in.i have fitted OE in the past by placing them in hot water and compressing them with Jubilee clips and plenty of lubrication it was a right bastid. And if you get the tool we could all borrow it for a donation,it was £90 the last time I looked.

I'm not totally sure which bushes they are, I have the new one's and apparently they are fitted with a special tool as not a straight press fit??
I may well be wrong.. I'll ask my pal to confirm what's needed..

The fella being me : o) although no doubt there are others. Sorry, rubbish sound... You're going to need a 30306 taper bearing race and a standard bearing puller kit with some jubilee clips and big washers. I'd already done the arms by this stage so filmed the vid using a mock up


Please don't use poly. When I bought my first one I had major death wobble issues until i replaced the poly bushes in the radius arms for OEM. Unless you enjoy the feeling of having the front axle almost ripped from underneath the car at 60 miles an hour of course, but it's not something i would recommend
