key code lockout

Hi All
Picked up my latest project yesterday. 2.5DSE with possible head problems. Trailered home as total flat battery and put on charge. This morning reconnected the battery and the doors locked themselves. Tried key fob resink no luck opened drivers door and alarm went off. Tried the key code via drivers door lock and still not working. Any thoughts. My 4.6HSE key code works fine so am wondering if it is something to do with the door switch although the alarm sounds ever time I enter the key into the drivers door lock and turn it either way. Might have to have a trip to the garage unless anyone on here can help

Sorry but have now sorted it. I let the alarm go off and then got into the car and put key into ignition and tryed to start her and then got out and tryed the key code again and this time the alarm only went off when I turned the key the four times to the lock now turns over. Sure this is only the first of many problems
