Kenlowe 'leccy fan fitting

Just bought a Kenlowe electric fan to put on my 2006 TD5 90 and was after some help.

How easy are this to fit as looked at the 3 or 4 pages of instructions and seems to be really involved, talking about aircon clutch wiring, etc. In my time have fitted stereo systems, alarms to cars and done some mods to the landy but never fitted one of these.

Supposed to be diy fitment but not feeling confident, any one have any pionters, help, links etc that will help with fitting, wiring, etc. Otherwise will have to pay someone and would rather not as money spent better on more mods...

Hi, I think if you can fit a Stereo you will be able to manage the Kenlowe fan.
I am not that mechanically minded but I managed to fit one in mine.
The hardest part I found was taking the old Viscos fan off. The rest was simple once I had read the basic instructions a couple of times.
I have a 1990, 200tdi.
I don't have A/C so I just taped that one up and left it. I also didn't have an over ride switch so that one was taped up also.
With my Kenlowe it was a single fan but came with the switching gear for a double fan so the other set of wires were taped up. I think they send out as standard a double switch even for a single fan.
Just remember to get a good earth connection. Working from memory I think that was the black wires. With the red wires that go to the battery I connected them both even though I only have the one fan that way it didn't matter if I got the wires mixed up to the fan
I'm sure once you get into it you will be fine. It really is not any more difficult that fitting a Stereo.

I have noticed a big difference running with the Kenlowe fan. The engine warms up much quicker. I can actually feel some heat coming out of the heaters and the engine seems more free reeving and willing.
The problem I had was getting the engine up to temperature to test it out. Earlier in the summer I drove down to the South of France without any fan connected in 35 degrees C. The engine temp never went into the red. It got close going up a long hill cruising at 70mph and I had a new thermostat in.
