Hi,

I have my new toy to play with and can't wait to mess with it!

Another question springs to mind - Do K&N/Hiclone filters etc really do what they say on the tin(increased response/better fuel economy etc)?

Is it worth shelling out for one?

Please help.

Bewildered.

one thing with K&N's is the ability to clean them so you don't have to splash out on a new filter every service. they also have improved airflow so that should help up the power a bit.
dunno about economy as i've never bother looking at that..partly cos it might scare me and partly cos i know a big enjin is gonna be thirsty and if it bothered me i'd buy a poogut 206

hi, K&N filter can be cleaned and after you have to apply the filter oil. the hiclone isnt a filter, it makes the air swirl more inturn getting a better fuel/air mix. Ross ;)

yes i find the articles about steam injuns really interesting..........................................until the pages get stuck together

IT MUST BE THE BIG BORES ON THOSE STEAM ENGINES THAT MAKE YOU GET THE PAGES ALL STICKY.:p

Any how back to the original econy question.
I fitted a k an n to my p38 dse and instantly had a performance increase, smoother running noise and gained just under 2mpg.
hope this helps ya.:)

Hey, I'm 16 and I am rebuilding a series 3 chassis upwards (also have a defender 90) and I read landy mags.... I know that is nothing to do with fuel econemy or K&N filters but I just thaught I would mention it...
