Just joined

Hello folks,

Well I took the plunge and signed up for a user name, after reading all the posts and getting some good advice in the process I thought it about time to "sign up".
I have a 1990 110 which we are going to go to Spain in sometime in August but there are a few things I need to sort out beforehand (aren't there always)
I have a leaky transfer box (I know they all leak) however I feel this is excessive, I refilled it a month ago and I think it needs topping up again, everytime I park up and leave it for a while there seems to be a little pool of "ep" gathering beneath the transfer box, I believe from reading other posts that it could be the oil seal where the propshaft meets the transfer box (is this the most likely culprit)?
I would like to know if anyone has an idea of the cost of repair if I got a garage to do it (I work shifts and don't have really have the time) and if they know of a good garage near me in Guildford?

As for my other car.... a 1996 Discovery (glutton for punishment or what).

Oh and I just sold my Series 3 on ebay (yep think I got the Landy bug bad as I had run out of parking spaces and the neighbours had started to worry)

As for the future.... well we want to make it to Andalucia and enjoy some offroading there and of course make it home again.

If you are having just 1 output seal done then the garage should charge you no more than 1hr labour and the cost of the seal. Realisticly it should only take about 30 mins from start to finish

hi newbie i live in farnham, 10 mins down the road got a landy offroader, 90, with a V8. there is the land rover showroom in guildford, they could reccommend you a place, but apart from that i cant help till i ghet back from holiday, send me a PM, and i will ask a motoring friend, he knows everything. hope this helps, R
