My Disco towbar, original LR jobby, is loose from the top 2 mounting bolts. These go through the square box section behind bumper (see diagram), so do i really have to remove the bumper to tighten them up?

Ok, i presume thats an answer to my other thread re: asda and hgv?

So what about the one above, anyone help? Surely someone has fitted a towbar or removed one. Im sticking a brand new caravan on the back in a couple of weeks and id like us both to arrive at the rally at the same time.

ok lenny, its use yer loaf time. look under you disco(i know you can do this cos thats where i met you yesterday) see if you can see both the nut and the bolt. if you can see both, try to get a spanner on the top one, if so, put a socket and long bar on the other end and turn till ya cant turn no more. if ya cant get a spanner on the top one you know you will have to remove the bumper

Sometimes pure common sense from someone ****es you right off......:D

Actually, now might be a good time to explain how to cut out holes for a 300 light upgrade, following instructions to the letter..................maybe not, i'll save it for another day............................................. :)

for the sake of 4 bolts and 10 minutes take the bumper off,it will take longer to bend a spanner and then **** about fiddling with it
