Jumping out of 1st gear

Just had a recon gear box fitted in our 109 pickup 'Suffering Sophie'. Currently have to hold the gear stick all the time to keep her in first gear, otherwise it jumps out. All other gears are fine. Any ideas anyone?? Please!

incorrect seletor shaft fork adjustment ,slipper pads in synchro hub not fitted correctly ,worn dog teeth on gear ,loose rear mainshaft nut,

Check mainshaft nut is tight ,
you can get to nut by removing plate on top of t/box just behind gear box.

sometimes selector not moving fully

If it is a recon box get onto who supplied it before you go inside and void any warranty.
