Hi all,
On another forum I asked the following, as here the main part of the members are real cargurus I could not resist of copying the message and
put it in here as well.
Just did a search and found this thread. It's about the following:
My neighbour bought a new MY05 FL Td4 Sport last year, covered with a 3-year warranty, (after he testdrove my SE Steptronic) and from the beginning he also suffers with such a juddering clutch, (drove it on saturday morning to test and first start gave it already, afterwards it was allright but needed to release the clutch as stepping on eggs, my neighbour says it's sometimes that bad it's really dangerous to drive when queueing up on the motorway or so) as he didn't want to trouble the dealer he did not mention it at all until his first maintenance/oilchange which took place after 1 year and 15.000 kms. The dealer said that it is the clutch but that it is no warranty thing as the clutch is liable to wear and, according to them, thus not covered. My question now is whether this is true (reading wowen1's entry it was fixed under warranty?), and/or if there is a TSB on this and if yes where the details of this TSB (and if possible of all existing TSB's) can be found ? If LR takes this as warranty in the UK I should say they have the same practice for all their dealers worldwide (we're in Belgium).
Any ideas on this please ? (The dealer was willingly enough to replace/fix the clutch but at my neighbour's expense
).
