Just bought myself a 2007 freelander 2 XS, I know the SE model has a sat nav built into the cubby hole in the centre of the dash, but im wondering if anyone has come up with any ingenious ideas for filling the gap on other models, except with junk that is.

I've seen someone make and fit a perspex insert to fit into the gap so they can attach their satnav screen mount onto it.

Looked very tidy.

Yeah i honestly have yet to see anything retail wise, but i've seen quite a few old boys come up with some decent looking stuff in their garage.

there were some makes of sat nav that filled the hole perfectly, just needed a hole drilled in the recess to exit the wires, but i imagine all these units are getting smaller.............
