I know I know this is a Land Rover forum BUT.

Seeing as you are all a bunch of nice guys :D

Anyhoo, my brother has an 02 XKR convertible that he has in storage.
Its been sitting for a while.
He just went to move it and the battery is dead.
The battery is in the back trunk.
The back trunk has no key to open it just the electronic switch inside on the dashboard.
The switch dont work cause the battery is dead!!

Any ideas how to get to the battery to get this lump of **** started?

Thanks.

Simples just connect up under the bonnet, one jump lead to the engine block and the other to the live on the starter or alternator. If its the alternator you use open the boot and connect up there after dont start it from that. Ok to start from the starter main though.

a lot of executive cars have jump start point under bonnet- owners manual should say.

As fanny says - many have a terminal in the engine bay with a red plastic cover - not sure about the XKR

Believe there is a fall back to open the boot with the key - there should be a hole which is located below the right rear lights left of the letters XK - the key fob should have a removable or twist out 'conventional' key - insert and turn it to open.

Got it.

The key hole was hidden between the X-K.

Thanks.
