Considering a purchase of new 2006 from dealer. I noticed that the 2005's
had 7 year warranty, but the 06's have only 3 yrs/36000 mi. Is there a
message in that?

Are the newer Jeeps reliable enough, given that I do the maintenance on time
correctly? Opinions please?

Thanks

Yes - auto manufacturers are desperately close to going out of
business, and they want to reduce their liabilities. A 7-year warranty
is a bigger liability than a 3-year warranty.

My '97 Wrangler was great; I bought it with 65K miles and sold it with 95K
miles. Never had a problem of any substance.

I loved that thing... it was just totally impractical! If/when I buy
another one, I'll know it's basically a toy going in...
