I found this on the road outside my drive yesterday and have the worrying feeling it's from my car...

I've got a 2003 L322 3.0 TD6 HSE

Car seems to be okay I've been out since... Is it from mine & should I be worried? Or is it something completely random?

Hope it was cheap :)

OP What happend to the Freelander you bought?
I forked out for a full set of new injectors, then changed the low pressure pump and filter. Still smoking and being weird on hardly any throttle at 2000rpm. Paid 1200 for it and spent nearly that trying to sort it. In the end I cut my losses and part ex-ed it for something else.

Then got bored a few months later and bought this Range Rover on impulse...

Thanks for the help - next question... Is it driveable until I can investigate or does it need parking up? ‍
Yes Ok its what the car comes down onto if you loose the air and the suspension drops. Hence you hear the guys say it was on bump stops this morning due to a leak

Hope you have better luck with the RR and you're good at welding. They are good when sorted.

Typical L322 especially an early one.

Funny that the mount and the stop came off in one big lump, I'd hate to know what the metal it was attached to looks like!:D

My 2002 M62 was in worse nick than my 91" classic underneath.

weird that :D
