Is my 96 Blazer motor shot?

I was driving along at around 60mph in my 1996 blazer 4.3 4x4 with
114.000mi and all of a sudden i could smell something hot, i noticed
there was almost no oil pressure. So i pulled over and shut the motor
off, but not before i heard a rattling sound from the motor.
I motor will still start and it sounds ok at idle but as soon as i step
on the gas i hear the noise again.
Anyone have an idea.

No oil pressure and knocks?, sounds like something let go in the lower end
or you lost a lifter/pushrod and the lost oil pressure. either way, you
should pull the pan and look at the bearings.
