ird unit, clutch,vcu

hi, recently had a problem changing gears was diagnosed as needing a new clutch,fitted a new clutch, never had a good pedal after fitting, went back was told it is the ird unit, the vcu was renewed 12 months ago, has anyone got any ideas to give advice,?pls thanks

check clutch slave bracket isn't cracked and moving when pedal pressed

cheers fanatic for your reply, it is a new slave cylinder and new bracket which was fitted 9 months ago, i will check it out for movement,

Hi All ,Have got a 04 freelander TD4 SE station wagon but find the clutch bites at the bottom of the stroke is this right,as i am used to disco clutch,or is the clutch on its way out ,cheers.
