just found mine leaking-prob since I put new oil in her last month.

anyone ever changed one? wished they hadn't?
my iphone won't run the search box in forum so apologies if I'm repeating history guys

Changed my RHS one before. Jack up. Remove wheel. Remove stake nut 400Nm – I used a torque multiplier (Sealey AK629 for about £120). Undo some more bolts and lift the brake assembly off and tie wrap up. Pull the drive shaft out – may need a gentle lever. Pull out the failed seal – may need a lever wiv a screw driver. Clean. New seal in. Drive shaft in. Put the brake assembly back. Put bolts back. You’ll be able to move it wivout disconnecting the brake fluid/abs connections if yer clever wiv yer thinking. Put new stake nut on 400Nm. Put wheel back. Oh, a handy tip: Buy 2 of them half circle things which I can’t remember what they’re called. 1 to spring off never to be found again. 1 to be fitted.

There’s some pics over ere. Got some more if you need em:

Cheers hippo,
I take it you mean the driveshaft end circlips that are half circle and usually blue? LR recommend replacing them if removing driveshaft (I never did on my rear driveshafts!)
Will the driveshafts not pull out/swing away like the rear ones do..by removing caliber bolts and hub bracket is there not enough movement to pull em out? Or is it a case of hub nut off then hub pull away from driveshaft..then pull whole driveshaft out of IRD?
