Hi all,
Firstly I,d like to say hello to all members. I have been reading the forum for a while and have now bought a 2001 td4 es. ( I was almost put off after reading some of the posts, but took the plunge anyway) During the first week I suspected the vcu unit was seized and after reading a tip, in the forums, about marking the vcu with two lines and then driving around for a while , I then noticed the lines never moved. Back to the dealer and a new unit was fitted. Now three point turns etc. are free of windup. Thanks to the forum for this tip.
I have a question about the fbh, after long or short trips it runs after the enginge stops, can they stick on and if so how would this effect mpg. I,m getting about 33mpg with very careful driving.
