Good morning,
My name is Harry I'm 22 and trying to help my mum out with her Landy 1995 Disco 1 M reg, she is currently in Tring near Aylesbury.

Issue is the driver side indicator isn't working so I tried replacing the bulb fitting and new bulb. still nothing so then replaced the Little metal fittings that fit to the bulb housing. still nothing so I decided to cut back the wire to some fresh wire and reattach it to the bulb fitting. upon doing this I found one of the wires with whiteish dust and the wire was really thin and just crumbles leaving maybe 3/6 hair strands of wire. I tried to gather as much as I could and refit still nothing all other lights work.

Situation - its awaiting its MOT and its her ONLY CAR so I need some help. if anyone is near Tring or Aylesbury that's willing to help me would be great!!!

Thank-you

Harry

Nice finger nails Harry.
Maybe it would be wise to make sure there is a live on the wire going to the bulb.
Then make sure you have an earth.
I have no idea what a Disco bulb holder looks like, post up a picture showing the holder and wire colours.
Also people can help better if you say which indicator it is

Hahah not mine, sorry to disappoint :D I'll have look about the live and earth.
Its the Drivers side Indicator. in the picture attached you see fitting that I'm attaching the wires too.

I know there is power going to the wires as I tested it with an Led bulb it lit up but very very dull and flickering.

You have a known working bulb and holder on the other side, swap them round to confirm both bulb holders work.
Presumably there is a little multi plug that pushes into the bulb holder
If both bulb holders work then try a temporary earth wire from holder to a good clean earth.
