Freelander 1 TD4 2002
Hi, it seems to be some sort of common problem but maybe not exactly as in mine.
When starting especially if its rather cold weather outside its a very lazy car.. as if it had no turbo.
But if I put the pedal to the metal for a couple of seconds it regains power. Sometimes I have to do it a couple of times but then it runs fine.
I have changed the vacuum hoses, the turbo boost valve and checked that the wastegate seems ok.
Also changed all filters and done an oil service.
What else could it be? any ideas? can it be a faulty EGR, MAP sensor or a MAF sensor?
No fault codes or warnings on instruments, although I cant read with any of my fault code readers.
