Sometimes, when I change gear, I feel (and hear) a slight crunch; almost
like the clutch wasn't depressed enough (when the pedal is right down to
the floor). It usually happens when entering 3rd or 4th. If I stop the
vehicle and start again, the problem has gone.
I had my mechanic take a look and he's ruled out any problem with the
clutch. It's such a problem to replicate - and therefore - isolate. An
idea of how rare this is: I embarked on a 510 mile round trip to Edinburgh
this week, not including the miles I clocked up in the city centre over a
number of days. The problem occurred twice during all this time.
Still bothers me though. I'd rather get the problem sorted but I'm lacking
ideas....anybody else got any?
1994 LWB Shogun btw. 2.5 Diesel.
