Freelander 1 Interior Trim Removal

Afternoon all,

Anyone know how to remove these 2 pieces of trim? I can only find stuff online about the mk1…

If I recall correctly, first remove the black piece around the clocks. Then eventually the gold plastic trims are clicked in.
Can’t seem to budge the black trim around the clocks, I have removed these 2 screws but it feels like it is held in place from somewhere around the steering column?
 
I can't remember exactly, but you do need to remove the 2 screws under the hood of the Ipack first. Then I think the hood comes up, on clips if I remember correctly. I think there are hidden screws once the hood is out the way.
 
Take the top off the steering column (three screws from below) then take out the 6 screws as shown and when it's out you'll see how to take off the painted bits. I sprayed mine satin black as they were a bit scratched and the result was great.
