I found online people that solved the crappy mirror on the p38 which starts leaking fluid by attaching a mirror of the l320 onto the p38 mount.

Any pointers to a how to on how this should be done?

My p38 is a 1999 model with the early automatic dimming mirror.

Never thought the mirror was crappy, what was up with it? Maybe damaged which is why it's not leaking?
A mirror is a mirror, just needs connecting to a12v source which is already there?

Mine has visibly leaked fluid, althought thats what it seems like. You can see that the fluid level has dropped, but I don't see a leak. When I googled this it appeared that this was a common issue. And apparently the L320 mirror doesn't go bad over time.

Mine went funny, a shame. I assume it has leaked into the glass as it looks like a puddle spreading from the middle. It wasn't damaged and seemed to do it overnight a number of years ago.

Looks worse in person, it is blurry and no longer dims at night. The mirror was perfect, then without warning started doing this and in a few days/weeks spread across the width of the mirror from the centre outwards.

Jogged my thoughts this thread has. My mirror seems to be OK, 2001 p38, but at night, any vehicles following appear to have 4 headlights, two above the actual two. No dazzling though so that's good, just wondering if that's normal.
Day light is as normal.

My 96 has that auto button which pops up/down if pushed and has a very similar ring on the mirror surface, lucky its the spares car ;) .

The 2001 doesn't have the the button.

96 is Autobiography, 2001 is vogue, V8s.
