Morning all, sold my Sport and bought a 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 XS, all seems well with it except not a single interior light is working, do they need to be programmed to turn on or does one fuse cover them all?
Tia

The interior lights are controlled by the CJB, and should work. The individual lights have there own switches. The footwell lights, puddle lights and approach lights are on while a door is open.
There is a fuse IIRC, but can't remember the number off hand.
It's be in the JCB fuse box, under the glove box.

Well after some serious in depth fault finding think I've found the cause..
There's not a single bulb fitted, the previous owner must have removed them for some obscure reason...

Even the bulbs in the bottom of the front doors and door mirrors were removed?
Sounds like there might have been a fault where the lights stay on all the time.
Worth checking they go out in 30 seconds, if still on the factory delay time.

And probably worth testing with just 1 in rather than doing them all to find they all need taking out again (until the fault is identified and fixed) :D

Bought a new set of LEDs fitted them all and no drain, I've no idea why they were removed.....
Possibly because they were thought to be the culprit of a drain and were removed just to find it was summat else - but they couldn't be bothered to put them back in.

Or... there is something else you haven't found yet!

Be careful with LEDs, there's been a couple of instances where the drive FETs in the CJB have failed, although it's difficult to blame LEDs directly, but it's worth keeping in mind.
Maybe leave the boot light as a standard bulb, so the FETs have something to drive against. ;)
