Hi all, I have removed the dash switch on my 200tdi station wagon and am upgrading the interior light to the newer style ones and also adding an extra one in, has anyone installed the light actuators to the 2nd row doors If so how did you get them to work as I can't see anyway to get the door to depress them when you close the door ?

cheers Ian

Can't remember pal:rolleyes:, it was 14yrs ago but I can give you some measurements?
The plate on the door was just a piece of heavy gauge aluminium angle and was a bit trial and error to get it right.
If I remember correctly I didn't get it perfect but a small piece of rubber clued to the plate saved me making 2 more.
Consider fitting surface mount lights in the plastic trim above the doors, it looks good. Pic is not the best but you get the idea.

Some measurements would be great please , I've brought the roof ones from the later models as I've got the roof lining out for retriming and needed to do some repairs with fibreglass on the sections.

The hole that the plunger fits in to is 45mm up (from the panel join that the pens pointing at)
And 20mm in from the door seal flange.
The plate protrudes 10mm further than the door card but, as said, it was a little lacking so 15mm would be better but I guess it depends on the. Switch manufacturer!
I think I used genuine LR but not 100% sure.
