Interior Lights Not Working On Door Switch But Alarm Does?

My interior lights work fine by switching on the lamp switches, but not via any of the 5 doors. Opening any of the 5 doors does set off the alarm so am I ok to assume the door switches are working correctly? I've searched and I've seen mention of the gubbins that fades the lights out when you lock up etc - Where is this located please or any other ideas on what to check, a simple thing but you don't realise how you miss em when you clamber in on a dark night

Resolved Update: Plugged in a Nanocom and checked AS10 alarm module - In there the interior lights had been switched off - changed setting to "smart" and all interior lights working fine again with delay etc.
