Insert for phone cubby

In the interest of removing unused electronics from my 2004 L322 , I was thinking of removing the telephone system. I cannot find a GSM only sim card that works so the phone to all purposes is useless. However does anyone know if it is possible to get a plain insert for the cubby where the internal phone is kept.
