Greetings,
long time lurker (owned the td4 for a while so been here frequently).
Finally my day has home to post a new problem I've yet to find on this magical forum. My injectors are literally jumping when cranking the engine.
Some recap, I had to take off the intake manifold and clean it out because almost 1/3 of the tube was filled with coal/exhaust/oil, clean the intercooler of oil, replace EGR and other small insignificant maintaince. But also I had to test all 4 of my injectors because I've gotten down to 13MPG (ODB2 sensor and my wallet confirms). All of the necessary filters have been replaced, and the speed by steep by distance has been followed for the maintaince according to the books.
But now for the real problem... after cleaning out everything, testing the injectors and cleaning 2 on the inside, 3 of them are a bit too tall, and by that I mean the intake manifold now hits the fuel lines. When measuring the injectors, they are 100% the same length as new/others, although what it seems like is the bracket that holds them down are all too big (check pics). No idea how this happened but without connecting the fuel lines, I can wiggle each injector a tiny bit, even tho I have tighten them as much as possible before breaking anything.
Also the holes have been cleaned with air.
(Took a quick vid of it but no idea how to upload)
Thanks in advance and hope it's sunny with you
