Injector pump leak

Hello. My fuel injector pump has started to leak a couple of drops every second.

I've spent some time cleaning around and watching the leak and I reckon it's coming from between the distributer head and the main body.

I think you can see the seal in this picture.

Do you think this seal is the same?

Ive done seals on my p38 pump, but when my 300tdi pump developed a leak i just changed it for a recon one. once one seal goes they are all on the way.

Cheers guys. I'm torn between doing the job properly and having a recon unit fitted but I think that would cost 100s or try and get my mechanic friend to help me fit the seal and solve it out selves.

If you want my advice id bite the bullet. if your keeping it get it sorted properly it will be a bit pricey but once its done you can forget it.

Well this morning it wouldn't start so The best thing to do is to have it repaired or replaced properly. A place called deisal diagnostics in cov say its 350 for it to be refurbished without removing and fitting. Does that sound like a good price?

That's not a bad price. But removal will be an hour at least and fitting the same. Best thing to do tho especially if it's not starting now.
