I'm having issues with Freelander 2 2007 Code P1259-87 Immobilizer to powertrain control module signal error. Please help!
Both key fobs are charged and we're working working. No previous issues.
I locked the car overnight and in the morning neither fob would open the central locking. I used the key to physically open the door and the alarm went off. Put the fob into the dash and the alarm switched off. I am able to start the car and run it as usual, except for the auto-fold wing mirrors which have to be manually operated in order to fold/open. I can't set the immobilizer or use the fobs to open and lock the car.
I've disconnected the battery and run Autel OBD2 scanner and found the fault above.
None of the symptoms seem to match anyone elses issues with the p1259 error code.
Any advice would be welcome.
