Ignition live connection behind dash

i am trying to wire in a mud pod with a couple of gauges in... I have sorted an earth and side light switch for them, but need to find somewhere to take an ignition live from - I.e for power to the volt meter.

Is there anything behind the dash I can take it from and run it with the other wires?

Otherwise I am thinking I can splice into pin 1 on the heated seats which I believe is ignition live, pin 6 on my stereo, or the cigar lighter, but I would prefer not to have wires coming from two different places.

Thoughts?

White with Green Trace (IGN Live), or White with Orange Trace (Stereo IGN Live)

Whichever you spot first

Thanks - been looking for both and not spotted much yet, doesn’t help that it looks like a previous owner has butchered the cables behind there... there is about 5m of thick coiled black cable behind there, lots of little boxes that seemingly aren’t connected to anything there isn’t much room in there!

Cigarette lighter positive wire. Not 100% it is switched though.

Don't say what model you have but as above under the centre pod there are switched lives available

Td5 2006... I figured I can also tie into the hazard switch or any other switch that has ignition live

Thought I would post a before and after of today’s progress...quite pleased with how it all went, now just need to connect the gauges up

The end result chuffed with my days work and that it all seemingly works so far... lol
