Hey all,
I recently bought a freelander and want to put my sub and amp in it. Anyone got any ideas about the best way to do this?? Any help as where to put the wires would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks
PeeWee

Hi Peewee,
I'd put the amp in the boot with the sub. Put the cables under the carpet or in the side cills under the trim. Just make sure you keep the power and signal cables seperate to reduce the risk of interferance on the signal.
Hope this helps ;)

how do i get the power cable into the car? Do you know where the gromit is so i can feed the power in and through to the boot??

Not sure where the grommit is but I bet it's hard to find. You may be able to route it through where the speedo cable comes through the bulkhead. From memory the power supply lead for the amp is quite thick though. Good luck finding a suitable hole ;)

you can get power into the car by removing the fuse box behind the battery and you can then see where the main wiring loom goes into the car on the main wiring loom grommet there is a nipple you snip the end of this and thread a coat hanger down behind the dash join a wire on to the end of the hanger and pull the cable throu the grommet the cable can be run along the left hand side of the car behind the trim. i did this last weekend to get 2 power cables to my towbar following landrover instructions. if you want to go down this root and need any advice give me a call 07974 718666 Ian
