I have a feelander 1.8 ( gulp!!!) 52K miles and is a 2000 on a Y plate.
Only had it three months but I had to put in a litre of oil two weeks ago and this saturday I noticed that the oil was low again. The coolant appears to be reducing at a slow rate also. The engine temperature once warm does not go beyond half way, there is no gunk in the oil filler cap and there does not appear to be any oil in the coolant. There does appear to be a bit of furring at the back of the engine just below the black plastic cover.
Is it the dreaded HG or maybe something else ?
Booked into main dealer on thursday, luckely it has the Land Rover warranty.

P.S I checked for leaks and cannot see any ( although cannot be 100% ) there does not appear to be any horrid stuff out of the exhaust.
