Can anyone advise, my 2.5 DT has a manual heater control with manual turning dials and i wish to upgrade to a digital type. The only problem is the green plug is much shorter then the HVAC units plug, given i havn't got AirCon can I retro fit a larger plug to my wires to fit the HVAC ?

wow, now that would be an interesting project and quite expensive. Have you thought about the extra bits you will need??

You will need (at least)...

A/C compressor
Condensor
Evaporator
Receiver/Drier
Thermostatic Expansion Valve
Pressure switches
Associated piping
Evaporator temp sensor
New engine wiring harness
New fascia wiring harness
Extra ducting from heater box to rear vents
Possible new centre console with face vents

From previous stuff we already know you have a high line BeCM so I dont think that would be a problem. After that I don't know the differences between the vehicles. I guess you would need a whole new heater box. Do you know whether you have the ambient in-car air temp sensor just below the clock?? Do you have the solar load sensor on top of the dash??

As you can see, its a bit of a long and expensive shopping list, do you still really want to upgrade to A/C?? If you do I'll try and help when I can.

-Wills :)
