Hi guys. I have taken the front hub off today to fix a leaky seal, bit of a nightmare mind. anyway when I took the caliper off, brake fluid started coming out. Is this normal or do I need to rebuild the caliper? I'm not so sure now that the hub was leaking as it could have been brake fluid.

A few of Qs you must ask yourself is
1 . where you loosing brake fluid ?
2 . where was the leak coming from ( swivel seal , stub seal )
3 . when you removed the caliper did you just unbolt the 2 mounting bolts or removed the pipes .
If you just unbolted the caliper without removing hoses etc - where is the brake fluid coming from ? .

:doh::doh::doh::doh: what ever where you thinking by doing that ...... Im not suprised it leaked brake fluid out then ....:doh::doh::doh: .

you'll Have to put new seals back before you bolt them together again but Im not sure where to get them .

Do a search on here as im sure there was a thread on splitting the calipers to overhaul them .

in the mean time get a white conicle hat with a big D on it and sit in the corner

:D:D:D:p
