How was the brake master cylinder to front union pipe originally routed?

The vehicle is a 1972 Series 3 SWB Diesel.

The pipe shown in the photo is the one that I removed when I stripped the vehicle down. It looks to have been replaced some time between 1972 and when I got the vehicle (2012). It is just hanging there not actually supported by anything.

I would be interested to see some photos of how others have done this.

Thanks for any replies.

mine has a metal cable holder/tie that goes round the brake pipe and is held in place by one of the screws that holds the plate covering the clutch cylinder, which yours seems to have missing, similar to the cover over the brake cylinder

you should be able to see it in these pics

looking at these reminds me of how ****ty my bulkhead was before I replaced it
