How to correct bent door pillars

Hi All

I've just bought a 300tdi 90 truck cab as a project.

After removing the doors and hinges to replace, the door pilars are pulled out a little behind where the hinges attach (presumably due to the previous awfully fitting doors). Not ideal in any situation, but it's meaning the captive nuts will not fit through the square holes.

Any ideas how to solve? Ideally without replacing the pillars!

Straighten them up, put the captive nuts on and space the hinges out if need be.
Maybe the doors have been forced round with no check strap on there.

Hammer?
You might need to heat it a bit and make an implement to slot behind to give it support when you hit it..
Otherwise replacement is an option.

I would get a big heavy plate and bash that onto them.....That should at least get it flat..

Plan B may be Grind cut them out..... align them on a bench and weld them back in.

I tried a hammer to no avail. Maybe I'll try a bigger one! What would you recommend heating with?

Gas bottles or map gas maybe.
Don't get it too hot though, being reinforced it might prove a problem.
Large flat hammer or flat metal bar as mentioned above to help minimise damage.
