Having just returned from Wales,which we frequent 3/4 times per month.
400 miles done and results ar thus,after a few slight alterations/adjustments/maintenance before the journey.
E.G.R. valve removal & blanking plate/new pipe.
Turbine wigget fitted into air intake pipe (post Air cleaner)
Turbo air intake box and pipes removed/cleaned.
Gearbox oil/Transfer box oil/Engine oil renewed.
Engine breather/pipes removed washed in paraffin refitted.
There is one particular hill coming out of Abergele.
Inclines gently for about a mile,then drops suddenly and up again.
Then a long winding incline steeper and steeper for another mile.
3/4 ers up the latter there is a tight left hander which i normally struggle to get to 50mph beforehand and have to knock it down to 4th to keep momentum.
Friday night !!!! FLEW up this last part doing 60 + top gear all the way with no effort in fact it took me by surprise.
Quieter/smoother different beast.
400 miles and reading 1/2 tank.
Gears slick.
Transfer box smooth change
WORTH EVERY MINUTE AND PENNY.
Preventative maintenence fantastic
