How much would it cost to fit parabolics?

Gonna buy a full set of parabolic springs for Daisey May which is my 1973 SWB series 3. However I have limited tools, facilities and time.
I was wondering if anyone had a rough idea of the time it would take to fit these along with the lifting shackles I already have.
I have an off road garage close to me that charges £55 per hour labour.
Just after a rough ballpark time so I can figure out how much it'll cost me for fitting. I appreciate that there may be seized nuts and bolts which could push the time up. Just after a rough idea.
Can anyone recommend someone good and not too expensive near me. I live in Aldershot in Hampshire.
All guidance and help gratefully received.

Cheers,

Stumpy.

why do you want to fit paras AND extended shackles ?? you'll already have lifted the centre of gravity 1.5 - 2" on the springs and increased body roll when cornering

the problem is not just seized nuts and bolts when swapping shackles, it's getting the bushes out of the chassis, i burn the rubber out with oxy/acetelene and then split the outer sleeve

buy new U bolts for the axles as well to match the parabolics, don't forget to buy the chassis bushes

the time taken is variable dependant on who is doing the work and how much practice they have of the job

best you ask your garage for a fixed quote to complete the job then you'll have a better idea of the cost, take a written list of the parts you'll purchase and expect them to fit which will assist them in working out the price

A quick side question on these, in the LR manuals it gives a measurement between the chassis and the spring to obtain (by either loading or using chains) before tightening the nuts. On paras do you just lower it to the ground and do it then?

Put parabolics on mine a bout 18 months ago - what I did was not fully tighten the shackle bolts right up... got a couple of hefty fellas to rock around in the back to loosen things up a bit and then took her out for a bit of a run (did about 10 miles) got back and torqued up the shackle bolts fully - all seems fine and drives lovely
