Hi how many hours do you spend roughly a week fixing modifying your discovery
There is some great examples on here. I've only owned mine about three weeks and think I've put about 25hrs in to it so I dread to think how much time some of you put in

Nearly every waking hour! If I'm not in work, sleeping or sh*tting then I'm either underneath her or got my head buried under the bonnet!

1 hour this weekend but about 20 hours + if I manage to fit all the new parts stored in my garage along with the needs doing soon list.

Fixing - not a lot. Fiddling - loads. 2-3 hours on a slow week. 40 hours plus in the school holidays!!

I've worked out that a bare minimum average of 5 hours per week throughout my ownership means 2000 hours in total. I'd reckon 4000 is closer!!

Well i spent 6 hours today out in the rain, the rear axle is off.
I used a hilty 22v battery gun and cracked a few bolts on some other stuff.....what a tool, shame i gota give it back....lol

Time each week? but maybe 4 hours average over the year with servicing , I replaced the brake fluid this year, last year I had to replace the water pump (surprise as the bearing failed) and then engine oil change as I had nothing better to.

My disco usually gets washed every week for around 2 hours, will that count? :D

It is exactly proportional to the amount of abuse I give mine, no abuse no maintenance, plenty of abuse plenty of maintenance. As a rule of thumb I would say 8 hours of Off Road play equals 4 hours of repair, so a 2:1 ratio. In Road mode I would say 1 hour a month so about 30:0.043 ratio there. Mods on the other hand, well how long is a piece of string?
