how hard to convert LWB chassis to SWB

Have got hold of a galvanised 109 chassis and thinking about shortening it to fit an 88. Wondering if anyone has any experience of this and if it is worth trying

how about you bung it on ebay and use the proceeds to buy an 88" gal. chassis?

You wouldn't be able to shorten it that much. The wheel base is different rather than the 109 being an 88 with a boot.
