How can I know "how far" to push the half shafts into the diff (rear axle)?
With the diff installed, the half shafts can go all the way in - meaning it will touch the inner axle of the planetary gears.
Looking the at photos with a diff disassembled we can clearly see the difference, please see attached photos.
