Hi all,
my dhse is a bit difficult then lumpy on starting in morning, many diesel owners have said that the glow plugs need changing.
Can anyone tell me how to do this and do I need to change all of them, I lifted the bonnet but couldn't even see them.
Thanks.

Hi.
They are under the high pressure diesel feed lines under the inlet manifold according to my book o rules and there will be six of them connected by a thick cable which supplies power to warm them up. Somtimes by leaving the starting of the engine for another ten seconds or so will help after the glow plug light goes out or warm up the plugs twice. If your not sure about doing it get help. If your stripping it down theres just no point in doing some of them.

Cheers Nick.

take the inlet manifold off, looks daunting but it'll take you about 15mins, really is that easy!

you can get to all the glow plugs once the manifold is out of the way.

When you put them back on, use a little copper grease on them.

Another thing, its unlikly but it can and has happened; when you are removing them, make sure they all look the same, if there are bits missing then it could have fallen into the cylinder.
