How do campers and RVs get water?

Anybody know how RVs and campers get running water for sink and shower? Do
you have to go to designated sites to get water? Or are there easy
accessible places anywhere?

Most of them have water tanks with demand pumps. As far as filling
the tanks there are many places including almost all camp grounds.

To get water?

No, any place you are happy with (but use a hose designed for potable
water if drinking it--it will taste better. RV stores carry them.

Get rid of waste water?

Yes, a pumping station.

Someplace like Camping World online:

has a ton of RV stuff, including water pumps and all that jazz.

If an RV is in a campground, they'll typically hook up to a water
supply through a garden hose. That supplies pressure for sink,
toilet, and shower. When camping without hookups for water and sewer,
the RV or camper relies on the stored water tanks that have a pump to
supply the water pressure. Some RVs have a pump switch you need to
flip whenever you use the water, while others have a demand pump that
keeps the system pressurized all the time.
