hot seat

Now the cold weather is upon us,its time to press the seat heaters on the P38,THE ONLY THING THEY DON'T WORK........!!the lights come on but no heat....is it common for them both to stop working at the sametime or could it be a relay prob{if so,where are they}.....your help would be appreciated...ADA

I have the same problem my passenger seat works but not the drivers seat. Im not sure what it is

Hi All. I have the same problem, passenger seat heats, drivers does not. I would appreciate a hint where to look.

Common fault, the design of the heater element in the seats has been changed by LR to correct it on later models.

The heater elements are only wires and repeated movement on the seat causes them to eventually break.

The solution - a replacement heater element, available on-line from sites such as paddock. Alas the replacement is not easy (so i am told). It requires the seat to be removed and completely stripped to change out the element.

Also if one fails (not sure which one) it will prevent power getting to the other. A voltage meter may help in this respect.
