Hiya. new member, Freelander 2 2007, generally OK but with a couple of problems.

The remote control works on the usual fob - however, although clicking twice applies Deadlock status to all the doors etc, a single click on 'LOCK' and the indicator lights flash once, but the drivers door can still be opened by the handle. the alarm goes off immediately and you have to 'unlock' the car to stop the alarm. double click the fob and all doors etc are locked as they should be. Any ideas, anyone?
Secondly, front headlights - I always have them set to 'Auto' so come on via sensors in poor/dark visibility, bad light etc.All worked fine until yesterday, and now the nearside headlight is OFF on Auto setting. Still works when set to full beam, but nothing on 'dipped' setting. Is this just a simple case of the bulb in the light failing on 'dipped' and it basically just needs a replacement bulb or something else?

After engaging brain, realised that I mis-read the spec and there are 2 bulbs in the headlight, so new pair of Halogen bulbs now ordered. Just the 'not locking' issue now to resolve please

Freelanders seem to have common issue not locking, usually doesn't register the boot or bonnet closed. Peeps in the FL section can tell you exactly
