Highly modified vehicle insurance

Have a highly modded Freelander Rally car (Td4) that I need to insure. If I livery it up with the usual rally type decals, what would be the implications of having a website address on it? Would this then be classed as a commercial vehicle? I only need it to showcase the off road goodies I will be producing for the Freelander................

The mainstream insurers all decline the vehicle due to the mods.Except one, but a limited mileage policy of just 3000 and that was £650 and without getting a comprehensive list from me either, just told to add the rest of the mods on the return form and send it back.
It has a spaceframed-type rollcage that goes through the bulkhead and forms the suspension turret tops front and rear, fox suspension, engine moved centrally by 13mm. Modified engine mounts, massive intercooler, bespoke tubular wishbone suspension, bucket seats , swirl-pot, exhaust exits sideways through the bodywork, modded air intake system etc etc.........
I was wondering whether there may be an insurer out there who specializes in heavily modified vehicles.
Also how do I get round the fact that although built for rallying , I won't be using it for such as I need it to show off the products I will be producing so I can't afford to be smashing it up .

Yes, that's where the £650 quote was from.The problem seems to be from not accruing any NCB with my last insurer, with my old modded V6 Freelander the insurance was only £220 fully comp limited miles to 3000 per year. So for the last 5 years I have no NCB which alot of insurers want.
I'm also sceptical as regards to the fact I will be insured in principal but then have to submit a list of modifications when I return the forms. What happens if a modification is then deemed not insurable ? how much do I stand to lose on my premuim when it is refunded?
I'm just worried I'll either not be insured in the event , or that I just cannot find any cover at all.

In regards to the modifications, we firstly get you to list thje modifications on the vehicle at the quotation stage to ensure that all mods are insurable. The form you send back is so we know the manufacturer of the modifications you have on there, since we cover mods new for old, we do that to make sure you get the correct stuff back.

I would go for Aidrian flux. They were very helpful for when I was insuring my jeep Cherokee and just as helpful when I had to cancel it due to bloody electrics.

I'm insured with Adrian Flux, the people I've spoken to there are incredibly helpful and the lady who actually went through my policy with me, brokered a deal with a company called 'Red Star Equity', my policy covers me offroad, provides loads of legal cover etc and best of all modifications.

If I modify my vehicle further, I will have to tell them but have been told that as long as it isn't an engine performance mod then it will not change my policy price.

So give Adrian Flux a call and I'm positive that they'll sort you out, I mean this is my first car, is a V8, is modified, I have no NCD (as it's my first policy) and my quote came in at a smidge above £1000, you'd likely get it cheaper
