Hi,

Complete novice to green laning so looking for any suggestions for an 'easy' local route around High Wycombe or Stockenchurch areas...i'm asuming the Chilterns would have something?!

And also any advice for a noobie?

cheers

Welcome get youself into the hertfordshire laners thread you will be most welcome and we are out most weekends doing somthing we hold a monthly pub meet and there is no membership or out just friendly landy people. I'm based in Luton and thats where the pub meet is being held you are most welcome to come and join us. We are organising a trip to Wales later in the year for a camping laning trip.

I am in beaconsfield just down the road, and no there is nothing

I go out with the herts lot, and also go down to surrey, that is your best bet. if you like i can let you know when i next go and you can come up with me

The Stokenchurch gap is quite easy local and scenic. 3 lanes each way and you can see for miles northbound on the M40. Of historic interest the tarmac between Jncts 6 and 7 was the location of the first motorway trial of porous asphalt.:) Some days you can see 20 or 30 red kites wheeling above, and the benefit is that you don't even get your Land Rover muddy. Have a nice cup of tea at Oxford services, or go off the beaten track in Stokenchurch itself.:D:D

Cheers fellas - i'll check out the herts laners thread and hopefully hook up soon...and get an OS map!

Carpy - that would be great - btw are you mates with Jamie from Marlow?!

...'wheeling Kites'!! nice :D

Couldn't help meself, but I filmed a little trip out in a 4x4 up there yesterday. No kites though but I did get a sarnie at M&S at the Oxford services.:)

i am indeed, he is my best mate. how did you figure that one?

Alice is my daughter... and Jamie told me his mate Carpy had a landy...

right makes sense, its kind of my fault jamie got involved in the whole land rover thing. he was happily being a chav in his pimped out rover metro when i took him off roading one day. within 2 weeks he had his first landy, and then after another couple of months his second - the 109 he is driving now

yea i will let you know next time i do anything if you like, i dont know when that will be. more than likely i will be in with jamie in his 109, maybe next time the herts lot are out laning. you are more than welcome to tag along, we are all a good bunch in general.

you could come along to one of the pub meets also if you fancied it, get to know everyone over a pint or something
