High temp at higher speeds 1999 xedi

Hi had this problem for a while temp fine until I put my foot down ( 60mph+ ) temp rises rapidly until I ease back temp then comes back down to normal changed the thermo cap on the expansion tank it doesn't seem to use much water will run all day around town and local roads only happens when I put my foot down everything else seems fine
