Recently purcased 02 plate Freelander S 1.8 petrol

Happy so far (except for a lead coming off starter, whilst in the middle of nowhere in Scotland!- thank god for Green Flag!!)

Is there access to diagrams (basic stuff).

I am about to change oil, need diagrams to work with (not a mechanic) but want to learn basics.

Bit deterred on seeing loads of entries re Head gasket problems etc

What is the sp on this model, are they a nightmare?

touch wood, I have only had the lead issue so far, but do have a clunking noise rear passenger side when going right h bends/roundabouts. is this poss the rear diff mount? or am I guessing

would really appreciate responses

yer probbly guessin rite with the rear diff mount !

as fer servicing destructions, just get yerself a haynes manwell !
they aint the bestist o things , but they doo have pictures in em

it would be the front diff mount or the the rear sub-frame mounting which is known to fail.

You must excuse daft ! he has a problum with noises,
